About This Tour
An immersive cultural day trip into Hainan's indigenous heritage. Your private vehicle drives 90 minutes inland to Binlang (Areca) Valley Cultural Tourism Zone, set deep in tropical mountains. Inside, walk among Li villages where elderly women still bear the disappearing 'Li tattoo' tradition, watch live performances of Miao bamboo-jumping dances, and trek to a hidden valley waterfall. Hand-on demos: Li back-strap weaving, Miao silver craft, and a tea ceremony with mountain-grown Hainan tea. Tribal lunch features 'wuse fan' (five-color sticky rice) and bamboo-tube cooked pork. Return to Sanya in late afternoon.
